Season's greetings from Ayala Foundation USA!
12/22/2009 | Ayala Foundation USA
For God so loved the world, he gave us His only Son. These were the words of the disciple John as a timeless message of God's unconditional and enduring love for all of us. More than nicely wrapped gifts or sumptuous holiday feasts, this season is about the amazing proof of God's love for us in the form of his son Jesus Christ. It is also about our love and concern for each other.
Our joint efforts as partners in addressing the challenges of poverty, illiteracy, homelessness, and the destruction of our environment are difficult and challenging. But they are, in a very real sense, God's work on earth. Indeed, our work can be viewed as a yearlong celebration of the spirit of Christmas as we give of ourselves to others as donors, as volunteers, as partners.
The New Year brings us fresh hope as we prepare for national and local elections in May 2010. They are always an opportunity for change, for reforms, for new energy and commitment to national development. Ayala Foundation USA will do its share in helping groups who reach out to the youth, so that they may awaken to their rights and responsibilities as citizens as well as those who seek to educate our electorate on the importance of their active participation in our national life and on the sanctity of their ballot.
Indeed, Christmas is about faith, hope, and love. Faith in the Lord's goodness and faith that all our efforts will uplift the lives of children, of families, of communities. Hope that we can all learn to live together as brothers and sisters with love for all.
May God's love for us continue to inspire and strengthen us as we carry on His work of feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, educating the illiterate. We at AF USA stand ready to be your partner in your personal charity.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees and staff of AF-USA, we wish you and your family a blessed Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
Sincerely,![]()
