GILAS introduces new packages!

Big changes are happening in the Gearing up Internet Literacy and Access for Students (GILAS) Project! In line with the latest orders from the Department of Education and with new regulations of Microsoft Corporation, GILAS is presenting new rates for tits Internet and connectivity packages.
The Department of Education launched the DepEd Internet Connectivty Project which aims to provide financial support to the Internet subscription of all public high schools in the Philippines. DepEd also continues to implement its Computerization Program which hopes to achieve zero backlog on computer laboratories for all public high schools. DepEd also prescribes computer donations to be branded and brand-new. To add to these developments, Microsoft ended its cheap software grants through the Partners in Learning Program I that allow projects like GILAS to avail of computers at a relatively low price.
To reflect these changes, and to make sure that efforts don’t overlap between the various institutions, GILAS is also redefining its packages for generous donors.
The new packages are as follows:
Regular Internet Package
Php 100,000 to provide server, printer, network
peripherals, teacher training, tech support and
monitoring
Satellite Internet Package
Php 150,000 to provide server, printer, network
peripherals, satellite equipment, teacher training, tech
support and monitoring
Full Lab Package with regular connection
Php 440,000 to provide Regular Internet Package
plus 10 computer units
Full Lab Package with satellite connection
Php 490,000 to provide Satellite Internet Package plus 10 computer units
Despite these changes, we hope for your continued support in providing our public high school students the chance to access the power of information technology!
